International Evaluation of the Doctoral School of Social Sciences at Aalborg University
The Danish Act on Universities requires that the deans, in consultation with the directors of the PhD schools, instigate international evaluations of the PhD schools.
This evaluation of the Doctoral School of Social Sciences at Aalborg University took place in the first half year of 2014. Subsequent evaluations will be carried out every five years.
The international evaluation consists of three main parts:
- A self-evaluation report initiated by the Director of the Doctoral School in cooperation with the PhD Study Board and the Doctoral Programmes at the faculty (see link to the self-evaluation below)
- A site visit by an international expert panel, including one Danish member (see link to a description of the composition of the international panel below)
- A concluding evaluation report by the international panel containing concrete recommendations for development and improvement of the quality of the PhD education (see link to the evaluation report below).
